Kaval group Varna instrumental ensemble

Kaval band “Varnencheta” has been founded in 2007. It consists of students from “Anton Strashimirov” and “K. Preslavski” and some other Varna schools. Band’s repertoire includes pieces from the Dobrudjan and Thracian folklore areas. The formation’s style aims to preserve the authentic, classical kaval style and sound. Since its foundation the band has participated in lots of concerts organized by the municipality of Varna, as well as many other national and international festivals and contests.
